Doctors Nova Scotia created a charity called the Healthy Tomorrow Foundation (HTF) in 2018.

The HTF exists to inspire and empower all Nova Scotians to achieve wellness through active and healthy living. Its mission is to help to create a happy and healthy tomorrow for all Nova Scotians through movement.

Programs and initiatives

The HTF is committed to developing and delivering products that enhance the well-being of all Nova Scotians.

Kids Run Club

Its marquee program, Kids Run Club, is a free, school-based recreational running program designed to give children and youth an opportunity to embrace active, healthy living. Since 2004, Kids Run Club has successfully grown from just 3,500 participants and 58 schools to more than 16,000 participants and 220+ schools province-wide.

Make Your Move

Make Your Move is a social marketing and engagement campaign that encourages Nova Scotians to move more throughout the day, ultimately contributing to a cultural shift in which movement is regularly incorporated into Nova Scotians’ daily lives.

Make Your Move at Work

Make Your Move at Work supports employers with creating a culture of movement in the workplace, whether in a traditional office setting or working remotely. This program supports people in workplaces across the province with adding more movement into their day, supporting physical and mental health and wellness.
