Before physicians can join Doctors Nova Scotia, they must first either:

• gain a medical licence from The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia,
• enroll at Dalhousie Medical School, or
• join the Professional Association of Residents in the Martime Provinces (PARI-MP).

Membership application forms are distributed to all potential new members when they have completed one of the above mentioned steps.
