A Pap test can be performed by a family doctor, at a well woman clinic, walk-in clinic or Planned Parenthood centre.
Doctors Nova Scotia and Cancer Care Nova Scotia have created the Cervical Cancer Prevention Program to assist women in finding a doctor in their county.
The Cervical Cancer Prevention Program’s Regional Resource Network liaises with the program and acts as a friendly, trusted resource in the 18 counties of Nova Scotia. Network members are provided with various resource materials to promote Pap testing to women in their local community, their community’s media outlets and to other health professionals.
