Dr. Maria Alexiadis
Dr. Maria Alexiadis graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1988. She is a family physician and a general practitioner in psychiatry in the Early Psychosis Program at the Abbey J. Lane Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Alexiadis supports her patients through various life challenges and all aspects of health, including mental illness and psychological issues. She is a Past-President of Doctors Nova Scotia.
Dr. Carolyn Thomson
Dr. Carolyn Thomson graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1989. Dr. Thomson practised family medicine in private practice before joining Dalhousie Family Medicine as an assistant professor in 2009.
Dr. Thomson has been working in physician health since 2004; she joined the Professional Support Program in 2009. Her interests include mental health, physician burnout, building resilience and work-life balance.
Drs. Alexiadis and Thomson have extensive experience in working with people who need help. A network of the best treatment providers in the province has been assembled and is available to aid each member with their specified difficulty.
