Flu shots now free to all

Get a Flu Shot

This year it will be even easier for Nova Scotians to get the protection they need against influenza. In 2010-2011, the seasonal flu vaccine will be free for all Nova Scotians.

Every year in our province, over 2,500 people are admitted to hospital and over 400 deaths occur as a result of flu complications. Immunization is the most effective way to protect yourself, your family, and your community, from the flu.

This year, the flu vaccine will be available in the fall and will protect against three strains of seasonal flu, including H1N1.

Doctors encourage Nova Scotians to take advantage of this year’s immunizations program and get vaccinated.
